The British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (BritCham) hosted The UK Study Fair 2020 in Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra last Wednesday. This annual event is organised by the British Embassy in Phnom Penh / Department for International Trade with the support of SpringBoard4Education Cambodia.
The Secretary of State for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, HE Youk Ngoy, attended the said event which saw a participation of around 700 students from 12 different schools in Phnom Penh.High school students were given information on how to go about in their applications to study, as well as scholarships and live in the United Kingdom. In her speech, HE Tina Redshaw, British Ambassador to Cambodia, stated that there has been a rise of 18% in the number of Cambodian students going to the United Kingdom to study. This year, 23 institutions joined in the showcase to offer world class quality education to Cambodian students.
